Day 6 i think .... eco dyeing

 


lots of lovely orange/browns, golden touches, 
deep copper brown, and a green tinge.

I am starting to lose track but i have kept the buckets to 
onion, avocado, gum leaves and copper sulphate
(above) cotton, gauze and sateen (i think)
ALL with added water from the creek

this is tissue silk (above)


loving the colours - onion on top and wool blanket below (onion dip first then gum leaves)

AI is here, there and everywhere

 AI (artificial intelligence) is everywhere at the moment even in Tasmania. I am hearing and reading about it in art, science, literature, medicine. Wonderful playlist here on TED talks regarding AI and how it can be used in art including statistics and numbers as sculptures, patterns and moving visual feasts. A few of my own favourites from TED talks are listed at the bottom of this post. I enjoyed this article recently on AI stating the 17 best AI artworks created. I have been playing with AI on a website called Dalle2 that creates artworks out of the text you put into it. Initially I found it fun but quite quickly it then became un-rewarding for me and i wondered if it could work using my own art. whats new across my space

I have opened an online shop for small original artworks, limited edition prints and collage packs of monoprint elements, vintage papers, text etc. check it out . blackfisharts   has been refreshed - its got a cleaner feel to it and is less  confusing i think. did you know i write poetry ? you will find my poetry online - it is mostly my published pieces and is under construction, slowly.  Regent Park has also got a new look ... this is where i blog about an artist lifestyle in country Tasmania.  We live with cats, a dairy cow in retirement, ducks, turbo chooks, wallabies, possums, a tiger snake and other wildlife.  Surrounded by a forest of gum trees and wattles interspersed around paddocks and a hill to climb there is a creek that flows through the acreage, home to platypus, blackfish, a variety of so many birds and an eel.  our youtube channel covers everything and anything - find the playlists to watch studio works, country living in Tasmania, animal...
